Think of Wine as a Windows compatibility layer. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely alternative implementation consisting of 100% Microsoft-free code, but it can optionally use native system DLLs if they are available. Wine provides both a development toolkit (Winelib) for porting Windows sources to Unix and a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows binaries to run on x86-based Unixes, including Linux , FreeBSD , and Solaris . It could be anywhere from a few months for light wines to a few years for heavier, robust reds. The key is to develop your ability to evaluate wines and then taste and judge for yourself. Who tastes and selects the wine?
The WineZap wine buyers each have extensive wine collections, wine knowledge, and retail wine experience. Basically, we all know and love wine. We created our wine club as a way to provide high quality, professionally rated wines at below retail prices. You won't find second labels or "special bottlings" here. We rely, in part, on the leading wine critics for their ratings as a way of narrowing the field of the wines for the club. However, for each bottle sent, we have personally tasted and reviewed many others.

Vendor-provided versions of WINE are available as
/usr/bin/wine on our GNU/Linux IA-32 and AMD64 systems, and as
