Is Aerobics hard?

This answer depends on you. If you want to work hard, you'll sweat through every class. If you need to ease in to working out, you can take the low impact options that are offered. If you are have trouble standing, you can sit in a chair and just move your torso and arms.

Can I do water aerobics?

Yes, the standard Endless Pool is ideal for waist deep aquatic exercise in still water, or against a gentle current that can go as slow or as fast as you want. Our optional deeper section is suitable for non-swimming vertically oriented water workouts. This deeper portion can be any depth you want customized to your requirements to provide chest-deep or shoulder-deep water for water walking and aqua aerobics, or even depths up to six feet for running against the current in a wet vest.

What times are your aerobics classes?

The aerobics room will be approximately 33% larger but we are working with consultants on making a large aerobics area out of one of the basketball courts to allow us to offer large classes during heavy use times. We will be using the same resilient flooring on that court that will be used in the aerobics room leaving our biggest concern as the quality of the music for your enjoyment.

Is there an additional cost to attend the aerobics classes?

Yes, classes can either be purchased by the session or by punch pass. A session fee covers one class for a 6-8 week session. The punch pass can be purchased with 10 or 20 punches and is good for any of the classes offered at the Community Center. Each class attended equals one punch. Members get a reduced rate on session fees and punch passes.

Is there a restroom close to the aerobics studio?

Yes, it is located on the other side of the conference rooms. By following the windows that overlook the tennis courts and turning right before you reach the doors for the ice rink, you will find the restrooms.

Is there much aerobics or stretching in the typical class?

Well, there's no WingChunercize. The practice of Wing Chun alone is excellent exercise for the whole body, including the arms, shoulders, back, hips and legs. Although we do some conditioning work on occasion, we mostly focus on developing Wing Chun skills. It's expected that students get what other exercise they might want or need elsewhere. Wing Chun does not require extremes of flexibility (e.g., there are no high kicks), and so stretching is not a routine part of class.
