All items are stored in a pet-free and smoke-free environment. However, since some of the Pottery Barn items we sell are customer returns we simply have no history and cannot guarantee that the items have never been around pets or smoke. All of the rugs we sell are wool, so if you have a general allergy to animals, a wool rug (which comes from sheep) probably wouldn't be a good match.

No, all the ingredients in the product are non-toxic. If the allergy relief wipe was rubbed over the pet's eyes/nose, just rinse the eyes/nose with water. If the allergy relief wipe was rubbed over the pet's mouth, just have the pet drink some water.

I have developed an allergy to my pet. What can I do?

Speak with your physician. Allergies may be due to several reasons. Pet dander, saliva, and hair are often the offenders, therefore bathing and brushing may help. Pets that shed less frequently (Poodles, Maltese, Schnauzers, ShihTzus) may decrease the human allergic response.

How long until my pet starts responding to the allergy shots? What do I do about the itching and skin disease until then?

A positive response to allergy injections can be seen within the first 4-6 months of therapy. It may take 12-18 months before maximum benefits are seen. We will keep your pet comfortable with additional therapies while waiting for the vaccine to “work”, including antihistamines and/or corticosteroids for the itching, and antibiotics and antifungal medications for the secondary infections.

A positive response to allergy shots can often be observed as early as 4 weeks, however benefit may not occur until 8-12 months after starting injections. Because of this variability it is important that you commit to allergy shots for at least one year. If someone or a pet is suffering from an allergy can you do anything to help?

Yes as mentioned in the previous answer, because we are using truck mounted equipment the airborne allergens (i.e. Chemicals, dust mite fecal matter & animal gander) are not redistributed around your home they are extracted to the tanks in the van which is obviously outside, also all of the humid air created by the hot cleaning process, is vented via the hoses to the van outside. This speeds up the drying time considerably.
