Is chiropractic a religion?
Chiropractic is no more a religion than dentistry, optometry or medicine. What always makes me smile is when people say: “Oh me, I don’t believe in chiropractic”. Well, me neither! I don’t believe in it because it is not a question of belief, just as much as medicine is not a question of belief. We never hear people say: “Oh me, I don’ believe in medicine”. This question probably comes back often because chiropractic proudly advertises the philosophy on which it is based. This is not a question of religion but of foundation. ...

Is chiropractic addictive?
No, what we often see is that people become aware of how their body should think and feel when they are subluxation-free. When subluxated, they feel different and this becomes unacceptable to them. Chiropractic is part of a healthy lifestyle and is a proactive health care CHOICE just as daily habits of brushing your teeth, choosing to eat well and regular exercise would not be considered addictive but a lifestyle choice
If only it were (just a little! ), there'd be a lot less sick people around and chiropractors wouldn't get patients who last saw a chiropractor "a few years ago when my back went out. " It is possible to get used to feeling more balanced, less stressed and more energetic as a result of periodic chiropractic care. You may become more sensitive to your body and know when you've "lost" your adjustment.

No! What we often see is that people who are subluxation-free are more aware of how their bodies should think and feel, and what their bodies need to be healthy. When subluxated, they feel different, experience a lesser quality of life and perception, and this becomes unacceptable to them. Just as daily habits of brushing your teeth, choosing to eat well, and exercising regularly would not be considered addictive, chiropractic care is part of a healthy lifestyle and is a proactive health care choice.

Osteoporosis and chiropractic?
Osteoporosis is a condition of decreased bone hardness, which makes your bones more brittle and susceptible to fracture. Though fractures can be very painful, osteoporosis itself does not produce pain. We treat many patients with osteoporosis and, with the gentle and controlled methods used in our offices, have provided much pain relief. Once again, unless a fracture is involved, the pain that is often blamed on your osteoporosis is probably very treatable.

Are there similarities with chiropractic?
Yes, both chiropractic and acupuncture access the body's own healing system. Chiropractor's typically focus on the spine and therefore central nervous system. Acupuncturists also use a lot of points next to the spine stimulating similar areas of the body. Acupuncture also stimulates the peripheral nervous system as well. Points in the arms, legs, and head are often used as well. An acupuncture treatment is often 40 to 60 minutes (sometimes more), though, so the patient actually relaxes into the stimulation. ...

IS CHIROPRACTIC ADDICTING?
An interesting question… The answer is yes if it’s addicting to feel that good! Everyone goes to the dentist to get their teeth checked up on at least twice a year with x-rays too! The only thing is we could replace hose teeth with dentures or some other implants and function just fine. That’s not to say that prevention and maintenance isn’t important in dentistry, but think about the fact that we only have one spine! There is no spine replacement, and certainly no nervous system transplant! ...
