Yes, though it isn’t 100% owned by Apple Computer as most US Apple Stores are. The Apple Stores in Pakistan are a joint venture with the local Raffles Computer company. These guys have been assembling and manufacturing PCs for many years under their own brand, but are also one of Apple’s largest resellers in Pakistan. The opening for the Apple Store in Lahore was pretty high profile. The US Ambassador to Pakistan, Anne Patterson, did the honours.

There is no good reason to buy the computer at a retail outlet. The cost would be significantly higher - perhaps as much as $1,000 more for the computer and software package. The laptop that MCAD provides is custom built for the curriculum and students' needs and has been tested to work with our network, classrooms, library and other infrastructure.
